Royal Rajasthan: Palaces, Forts & Deserts

Two weeks of maharajas, heritage hotels and the Thar Desert

14 Days / 13 Nights North India · Rajasthan from $2,100 per person
The massive sandstone walls of Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan

Tour overview

Live like a Maharaja on this 14-day grand tour of Rajasthan. Beyond the Golden Triangle's Jaipur, this journey takes you deeper into the royal state. Explore the "Blue City" of Jodhpur and its mighty Mehrangarh Fort, the romantic "City of Lakes", Udaipur, with its floating palace, and venture into the Thar Desert for a camel safari and a night under the stars near Jaisalmer.

Accommodation is the star of this itinerary: you sleep in heritage hotels and converted palaces for most of the trip and in a luxury desert camp for one night. A private air-conditioned SUV with a driver follows the royal road from Delhi through Jaipur, Pushkar, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ranakpur and Udaipur. This tour is a deep dive into the opulence, bravery and romance of Rajput history, and it is best enjoyed between October and March, when days are warm and desert nights are cool.
