Travel to Agra to witness the breathtaking beauty of the Taj Mahal at sunrise and explore the formidable Agra Fort. Conclude in Jaipur, the "Pink City", where you'll discover magnificent palaces like the Hawa Mahal and the grand Amber Fort.
The three cities form a near-perfect triangle on the map, each roughly 4 to 5 hours apart by road, so you spend your days sightseeing rather than travelling. Our representative meets you at Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfers you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a welcome dinner briefing with your tour manager and an evening stroll around Connaught Place.
Morning in Old Delhi: Jama Masjid, a cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk and the spice market of Khari Baoli. Afternoon in New Delhi: India Gate, the Presidential Palace from outside, Humayun's Tomb and the Qutub Minar.
Drive to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway (about 4 hours). Afternoon visit to Agra Fort, the seat of the Mughal emperors, followed by a sunset view of the Taj Mahal across the river from Mehtab Bagh gardens.
Enter the Taj Mahal at dawn with your guide as the marble changes colour with the rising sun. After breakfast drive towards Jaipur, stopping at the abandoned Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive in Jaipur in the late afternoon.
Morning excursion to Amber Fort with a jeep ride up to the gate. Afternoon tour of the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar observatory and a photo stop at Hawa Mahal. Evening free for the bazaars of Johari and Bapu.
Optional morning activities: a block-printing workshop, a cooking class or a visit to the Monkey Temple at Galta Ji. Drive back to Delhi (about 5 hours) and check in for your final night.
Breakfast at the hotel and a private transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Late departures can add a visit to Lotus Temple or Akshardham.
